Body Suit Video

Another pretty cool video from YouTube. Thanks to Rebecca Molays site for the link (warning, her site is not safe for work!)

Now, where can I get me one of those body suits?

Pointy Ear Wearers

an analogy...

I am a science fiction fan. I'm out to my wife and a few of my friends know i like to occasionally read science fiction

Sometimes I go to a club where others who read science fiction also gather, and we read books and maybe even watch the odd sci-fi movie. But it's OK. I don't do it that often. Maybe a few times a month. I keep my stash of books under my bed.

But there's this other group. They like to dress up like characters from Star Trek and stuff like that. They parade about in public in alien suits. These are the "pointy ear wearers". They're not really part of the Sci-Fi community. I get embarrased because my family and friends think they are like me. That they will think they represent what I am. I think most of these pointy ear wearers only do it for the kicks. They're not proper scifi fans like me. I cringe when I see them parading at the latest comic con.

Bloody PEW's.. they bring the whole community down.

((please note - this is not real.. I actually quite like PEW's. I'm just venting my frustration at some of the forum posts recently that seem to make out that the whole TG community would be fine, if it wasn't for us trannies messing things up for everyone else....)

Body Swap Video

This is really well done. No idea where it is from originally. I'd guess an advert for something? Comments seem to suggest a New Yorker commercial.

Really wish I could do this ;) then change back again after a night out...

Bad Wolf

Enjoying the current Doctor Who season, even with Catherine Tate (last night she went a little too shouty again) although last night I was a bit distracted by Rose seemingly breaking in a new pair of teeth.

But the trailer for next week - OOOh, the gang's all here.

Quite excited, here's hoping RTD doesn't throw so much into the episode it turns out to be a massive mess.

Google rainbow

Is this new?

Do a google search on ''transgender''

Check out the rainbow down the side of the page

is this just for Pride season? Or is this permanent? Works on some other words too (Gay, Lesbian yes, transgendered no, oddly)

Shame about the top sponsored links though

Chuckle time

Is this the scariest email ever to arrive in your inbox....?

The Chuckle Brothers Come to Southend

Dear XXXXXXX

INDIANA CHUCKLES and the Kingdom of the Mythical Sulk at the Cliffs Pavilion,
Southend Sunday 8th June at 2.30pm & 5.30pm

In a land that time forgot, the treasures and mysteries of an old and
forgotten tribe lay in hiding for only the brave (and the mistaken ) to
find!

One day Paul and Barry see a job advertisement in the paper. But they can't
read the print very well as someone has spilt tomato ketchup on the article.
They think it reads ''Reward for anyone brave enough to travel', The rest of the
article is smudged and can't be seen.

'We can do that' shouts Paul.
'Oh dear oh dear, something isn't right''replies Barry!

And so our hapless heroes set off on an adventure of mistakes, pitfalls
and danger!

Sounds good eh? Quality entertainment....

My sister received the same email. Her first reaction was that it was a warning from the local police, and I am inclined to agree. Parents, be on the look out for two men wandering the Seafront shouting "to me, to you"

I fucking hate the Chuckle Brothers.

Japanese TV Show

Just had to share this. There is a Japanese game show where the point seems to be to take guys and dress them up as girls.... the results are incredible.

You can see some of the shows on YouTube here http://uk.youtube.com/user/HoneyBee331

I have no idea what they are saying or exactly what is going on. But it's interesting anyway!

Angels 2.0

Over the last few months I've been neglecting the Angels side of things. After the webhost debacle with Fasthosts late last year I began moving all my sites to a new host.

Moving the regular sites was easy. Moving the few forums I have was a little scarier. I run a small forum for work and I managed to move that across in December without any problems. But when I tried to do the same for the Angels it all went horribly wrong. So I left it... and then kept putting it off.

Last week I decided that I really should move it. It's the last of my sites to move. So with a deep breath and a little scouring of the forums I had another go and it all worked fine. Phew.

Once moved, I could now upgrade the forum to the new version of phpBB, version 3. This happened yesterday and it seems to be OK so far. I had a nasty moment when, after two hours of getting it all working, I installed a style that managed to lock up the entire forum and made it necessary for a complete reinstall.. which was a sod.

Anyway, the new and improved Angels Forum can be seen at the usual address of http://www.angelsforum.co.uk/phpforum/

On a related note I also wanted to tart up the Angels website itself. Partly because I wanted a fresh look and partly because it was becoming a little haphazard with pages all over the place and a disjointed look. I also wanted a fresh start with me now officially running the online side of the Angels without Kim as opposed to unofficially doing it :)

I'd been playing with Wordpress since it comes preinstalled with the new host (and free MySql databases too!) and had moved the "angels blog" over from Blogger to Wordpress (which was rather painless... keep an eye out I may do the same here one day too!)

What I wanted to do was base the whole site around the Wordpress theme. It took a little tinkering with some of the code, but I think it works OK for now.

You can see the new look Angels website at http://www.theangels.co.uk

If you have any old links to parts of the Angels site on your blogs, I would suggest you check the links and update any that are broken. Annoyingly with the new host I could now host the forum on the main Angels domain, but the angelsforum domain is so engrained now that it seems silly to move it back.

My next step is to try and get an RSS feed from the "latest posts" bit of the forum - and integrate it on the blog. Watch this space, but don't hold your breath.

I should be flattered but....

I know I should be flattered when someone is inspired to set up another forum for the TG community based on the Angels.

But inspired by the Angels is one thing, being a complete cut and paste job is another.

Even the forum rules is a word for word duplicate, including smiley! Exhibit A : Exhibit B

They've even got a section called Guardian Angels, which as a pun only really works on the Angels site.

Still, if it's a new London venue to plug the gap left by Transmission then good luck to them. We could do with something.

Not totally sure if we need yet another forum though. Although I'm sure somebody will fill it with posts. Just look at the fuss on Roses over the loss of two years of posts due to a server crash. Some people seem to think that they only exist if they have a high post count....

Flickr Tranny Day - A lame excuse

Gillian had a great idea to try and kickstart the tranny community out of the current wave of apathy that seems to be sweeping across it - or at least across this corner of the trannisphere anyway.

March 29th would be the day we all get dressed up and put our photo on to Flickr Tranny Day group.

You may notice my photo is missing ;(

I tried, I really did. I had it all planned out, but unfortunately my plans went the way of a suitcase at Heathrow Terminal 5. In between visitors popping over, and my dad's car getting wheel clamped it seemed like the Cosmos was out to stop me.

At one point I'd even shaved my face and had a full face of foundation on when my sister rang to say she was popping over. It just wasn't to be.

I'm going to try again later in the week... honest!
