Impressive Stuff

I don't know about you...

...but this never fails to impress me :-) I'm a science geek, I love this stuff!

Good luck to the Discovery crew. Let's hope this proves to be the restart of the whole Nasa programme and one day we get people back onto the Moon and eventually Mars.

I visited Kennedy last year and took the tour round the launch platforms. Unfortunately there was absolutely no possibility of seeing a launch due to Columbia. However, if you ever find yourself in Florida, it's a far more interesting place to visit than anything Disney have thought up.

    Hey! I like Disney!

No, really, Cape Canaveral is really interesting. I too want to wish Discovery good luck. I am a big NASA supporter and would like to see men on the moon in my lifetime (notice that I just aged myself there).

    Stunning photo
I think we really need to start getting into space.
It is the future of mankind....to boldly go....:-)

Of course, I'm one of those conspiracy theorists who subscribe to the idea that we've never made it to the moon and that the film Capricorn One was far too close to the truth than we're prepared to acknowledge.

Cynic? You bet. Let alone the expense involved when people are starving to death in Niger etc.

Without starting a tranny war here (WWIII?), I've had this discussion before. Money is not the solution to Africa's problems. Let me end it there. I don't see why people have trouble believing we have gone to space. I'm very much in the "to boldly go..." category.
