iTunes frenzy

So I've had my new Ipod for a while. I had a real problem getting iTunes to work properly - it would not recognise my iPod and stuff like that. Previously I've only ever ripped my own CD's or downloaded the odd track from "other sources". I then used an open source piece of software to transfer these songs onto my iPod.

Yesterday I noticed there was yet another iTunes update, and was pleasantly suprised that it now seems to work OK. Huurah!

So I signed up for the iTunes music store. I don't have a problem with buying tracks via download, as long as I can get them onto CD to play in the car as well. I like the idea of buying just the odd track from bands where I only like one or two of their songs.

So like a kid in a sweet shop I plunged into the cheesy rock section, getting hold of those bands that had one good song, and then the rest of their material was crap and so I would never buy an album. And when I say cheesy, I mean cheesy :) I got stuff like Poison: Your Momma Don't Dance. I even downloaded the entire Quireboys album that I bought back in the mid 90's that I can never seem to find on CD anywhere (probably for good reason) - Gotta love that big hair rock!

I also downloaded that Portishead track that is being used for the Channel 4 trailer for "Lost". Cool track.

Gonna have another rummage around today to see what else I can get.
