London 2012

I was stuck in a training day up North today so could not see the coverage of the Olympic voting.. I was waiting for a text from my wife to tell me who won.. and I quote: "Fucking hell.. they've given us the Olympics!!!"

I've seen the footage now, of the scenes in London and in Singapore when it was announced.. and I keep getting all emotional. I think its fantastic to get the Olympics here. I went to Athens last year to see the games, and it was an awesome experience and an amazing atmosphere. I know we can do a good job and I can't wait until 2012 now!

PS: After all the girls on the Roses Forum moaning that Manchester was a crap place to hold Sparkle and that London was better... now they are all whining that London is crap for an Olympics and that it should be held in Manchester... Ho Hum.
