London Blasts
Terrible scenes on the TV here. Looking increasingly likely that its a terrorist act in Central London. Lots of speculation and hard to get too many facts yet but its looking bad.
After the highs of yesterday, it only takes a couple of sick bastards to pop the bubble and bring us back to reality.
Can't write too much - enough is being said about it already elsewhere. My thoughts are with the victims caught up in this, and the families waiting for news.
Update 1: 37 dead. And it can only get worse.... its all I can do to not cry today. Feel quite numb.
Update 2: Interesting article by Anna Pickard on the Blogspheres response to the bombings. Also of interest is this article on the BBC about how mobile phones captured images, the Flickr 7/7 Gallery and the Wikipedia entry. Interesting how the technology is changing how we deal with these kind of events.

Ok, I know I really shouldn't respond to this but "Oh, dear there is always one isn't there?"
The only question is whether to pity the poor fool for their inane views or to report their IP address and hope there is a category of criminal offence to cover them.
Nice to see that the person in question is so pround of their views that they can't actually summon up the courage to put their name to it...

Know what you mean Clarissa.. part of me just wants to delete it... other just wants to pity them. People are angry, fair enough but we need positive solutions and not stereotyping and blanket blaming.
