Pink Laptops
I can't decide whether this is insulting or kinda cool:
"US-based X2 has announced the StyleBook 4000 series, a new laptop series in its designer line specifically marketed for women. The Stylebook 4000 comes in chic designs and is available in Piano White and Duotone Pink/White finishes and includes a faux-croc colour-coordinated portfolio bag." Read More.
You can see the laptop range at the X2 site.
Now I quite like the idea of different coloured laptops. A pink one would be quite cool.. But to suggest that girls will only be into laptops if they can get one that goes with their shoes is rather insulting.
Now I tell you what I really want. Something like this. Small enough to be portable, but with all the features of a regular laptop. My current laptop is well featured, but weighs a tonne. OK for when I am working cos I put it in the boot of my car. But when I am carrying it on the train, or want to use a wifi hotspot it is not the most portable beastie. I just can't get a lot done on my PDA...

A laptop that will really fit into my handbag, now that is something I would buy! Maybe when the price drops a touch...

As nice as that OQO is, I think i'll stick with the ibook i'm saving for. I can get a 12inch one for less than $1000, it's small for a laptop, it's white, which is better than silver as usual, and by the time I can afford a new one Apple will have started using Intel chips so I can make it dual boot both Apples OS X, and Windows. I do very much like the OQO's small screen with the keyboard right there. Would be great for in the Jeep, lost in Seattle.

I'm pretty much a pure PC user, never really used a Mac much.. but I must admit I have been toying with getting a Ibook as a mobile internet solution...

The coordinating tote bag (read: purse) is slightly insulting.
