Going bump in the night (again)

OK a few weeks back I posted about Most Haunted and how crap it is. Since then I have been doing a little research of various websites who all seem to agree with my thoughts. The Bad Psychics website is pretty scathing. Apparently Derek Acorah is quitting the show, and the show itself may even be on its last legs.

What I have been watching though, is something called Ghost Hunters on Sky Mix. These guys take things much more seriously - use better equipment and are not afraid to debunk anything they record. I've been quite impressed with them so far. Very little footage up peoples nostrils too, which is nice.

What was interesting was some footage shot in a "haunted" lighthouse shown last week. A chair was seen to move several inches by itself with noone else in the room. The tape has been analysed and no obvious trickery can be seen. Unlike Most Haunted the TAPS guys tried to debunk it and even when they couldn't did not start shouting "ghost" just that something interesting had happened that they couldnt really explain. There has been some interesting discussion about the chair footage on the Bad Psychics forum, but nobody can come up with any real explanation. If you saw the whole show you will see that the chair is away from any objects that could have fell on it, no wires are visible even under processing etc. Very intriguing.

I'd rather watch this than the kind of garbage the Most Haunted team dish up week after week.
