Welcome to the Jungle

Well not so much the jungle as a nice little zoo enclosure. This story caught my eye a few days ago, and I should have written something about it then but never got round to it. It's the Human Zoo exhibit at London Zoo where 8 people are being kept as exhibits on Bear Mountain for the Bank Holiday weekend.

I was honoured yesterday when Spinning Girl commented on my blog since she is actually one of the volunteers taking part in this exhibition. So for the low down on life on the mountain visit her blog.

Now when I first heard about this, I was quite intrigued. Humans are part of the ecosystem too and putting them in a zoo is a nice way of making this point.. But I am a little underwhelmed by the execution - from the looks of it they sit around all day drinking Starbucks and then spend the nights in a hotel...

Now I think that we're missing an opportunity here. It would have been much better to have taken a group of Z List celebrities who seem to be desperate for any exposure - and make them spend 7 days and nights in the lion enclosure.

We could call it "I'm a Celebrity, Please Dont Eat Me". I am sure there are plenty of people who would pay good money to see Peter Andre ripped limb from limb by a pack of lions.

Sounds good to me. Where's that phone number for Channel 4?

Z list? Why the hell not A list? I think the A list are even more deserving of being torn asunder.

Lana: I can't think of many politicians that don't belong in a zoo...

It could be the alternative to the old fashioned balloon debate, except for real. Although that is not a bad idea either! Which would be the most impressive ending? Lunch for the lions or a splash from 1200 ft. How about combining the two, the winner gets the parachute but has to land in the lion's den........

Ha ha! Thanks for the mention.
If I get eaten, I hope it's not by Anna Nicole Smith.
