Surreal Games and Ads
Following on from the Bugs game I posted yesterday (sorry Steph!) I was sent a link to this rather surreal game today. A kinda slow-burn puzzle solving pointy clicky kind of game. Very cool graphics too.
A slight change to the blog template today - I've finally succumbed to the lure of easy cash and put some Google ads down the side of the page. Not sure if the banner is too big, but will see how it goes. With 5000 visitors a week to my Dress up Doll page it seemed silly not to try and make a few quid of the back of it. I did once have a Click Cash account that made me a little beer money about two years back.. but it kinda fizzled out. Not expecting miracles, but a few quid here and there would be very much appreciated :)

Great idea :) dont think I'll bother just yet though with the amount (or lack of ) traffic mine gets I'll be old and wrinkley before I make anything

How does that all work anyway? Do they pay you per click-thru or what? Not that it really makes any difference to me, I'm with lana, we'll both be wrinkley before we get any profits.

Go for it Jo! Still waiting for my first Google cheque after 18 months so reckon I'm in Lana and Emily's league. Mind you, broke the 10 dollar p.m. barrier last month so may be the sky's the limit! LOL.

Well after just under 24 hours I have had 1500 page impressions, 8 clicks and made $0.41...

Hi Joanna, Like you I succumbed to the lure of money a few months back. In the four months since signing up for the Google ads, I've managed to earn the princely sum of $4.27. And there I was hoping to fund my extravagant MAC Cosmetics habit from my blog ads.
But then you're a famous and popular girl, so my guess is you'll earn heaps more. Good luck.

Google Ads aren't that bad. They're not that intrusive and after a month or so they money will start to build up. I get a cheque for about 100 quid every 2 months. Not bad for doing stuff all! :)

You're just prostituting yourself Jo, it's one step from google ads to down the docks doing favours for sailors.
