The Lazy Transvestite

Apologies for the lack of content on this blog in the last week. A mixture of work, Everquest2 and getting the Angels forum sorted out has taken up much of my time.

At least the Angels forum is running nice and fast now. I had to relocate it to a Linux server to improve perfomance. Seems OK now.. which is good. Roses forum is back up and running too, so that should reduce a little load.. although I am hoping it wont affect the Adsense income too much.

My wife came in today with a copy of Oblivion. Looks pretty awesome. I loved Morrowind when that came out a few years back.. and from what I have heard this is an amazing game. Half of my Everquest 2 guild have not been seen all week since this was released. Only downside is that its a solo game with no online content... so there's no sense of community. But at least it means you are not scrabbling around looking for a group all the time.

Also been quite excited by the news that Bioware, the makes of Neverwinter Nights are getting into the MMORPG scene as well. NWN was an excellent game... I'd love to see what their take on an massive online rpg would be. They have an excellent pedigree.

I'm also quite excited by the announcement of a Warhammer Online game as well. Not totally sure if this is an RPG or a Battle game. But I used to love playing both Warhammer Battle and Warhammer Fantasy Role Play when I was a teenager. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

Seems the the world and his wife is coming out with an MMORPG these days. I guess the market can stand so many, and then a few will just collapse. Apparently Dungeons and Dragons online is pretty poor. Very little content, no solo content, and uninspiring dungeons. Was a shame because I was hoping for good things from the grandaddy of RPGs... Never mind.

Well this post veered away from transvestism quite quickly...

I am hoping to get to TX tomorrow night. Honest. I haven't done any dressing for ages so am in good need of a chest and pits shave. I also have absolutely no idea what to wear. I have a few ideas and a few new items... so it'll be a last minute decision I think.

Arsenal was only 90 minutes... But what a bloody good 90 minutes is was too :-) Very envious of Ms Handbag who managed to get a ticket for the game.

The one thing about Neverwinter was, the single player sucked. I know that more and more, your online content defines your game but that can't be at the expense of a single player mode unless the game is solely an MMO. Neverwinter wasn't and so, I was disappointed. But yes, Bioware's take on MMOs ought to be very interesting indeed.

    Hi Joanna

I know that feeling. Not enough hours in the working week I think.

I saw Obvlion on the XBox 360 and while it isn't Live capable there is about 200 hours of gameplay in there. Thats a lot for me to fit in but I might see about giving it a try.
And was great to see you at TX last night.
