Wish you were there?

Now I don't want to be the one who ends up getting a reputation for shouting "photoshop", but these were submitted to the Geotranny group so I am assuming these images are intended to be genuine...

So is it just me, or is the person in each of these pictures photoshopped in?

LOL!! Hilarious. Definitely photoshopped. And not very well done at that. I have a bit of advice for Ms Richardson - if you can't do cut-and-paste very well it's not a good idea to post the pictures at 2410 x 1725 so everyone can see the botched job at close hand!! What is the point of all this deception?

As Stephenaie points out, the large originals make the cut and past very obvious. But even in the smaller sizes, the way the light falls is alawys slightly off on the figure in relation to the setting.
Stephanie poses a good question, what is the point? Certainly more people would empathize with shooting pictures alone, at home or of being afraid to have a life in the "outside" world. I still find myself feeling both anger and sadness about such attempts. It certainly denegrates the courage it takes to take reallife risks. And it eats away at the trust that it might be possible to achieve in connecting with others on line.
On the other hand it means settling for a laborius ongoing deception as a substitute for the opportunity of a genuine connection missed.
Most trans people are quite tolerant and supportive of a wide variety of efforts at trans- expression. In the end doesn't such deception only increase the lonliness and the fear by isolating you from the very group that is most likely to accept you as you are? That's a very high cost to pay for a few comments, ones that were not even genuinely earned.

lol... It's certainly not the best Photoshopping I've ever seen, but how long must it have taken to do them all!!! It would probably have been quicker to get frocked up, fly to Sicily and actually photograph them there ;-)

Definitely all Photoshopped. Sicily01 and Sicily02 both use the same picture, and in one of the others the shadows of the three people have been added in badly. No one casts a shadow that shape.

Generally there is a mix of lighting/shading. Shadows missing where there should be some, etc.

I have seen photos manipulated before where people have created images of themselves in places where they have never been, but they are usually honest about it. This is a bit different, and heads into the area of deliberate deception.

Thanks for the backup! Although they looked obviously faked, I just wanted to check :)

I have nothing against photoshopping a background or whatever, but you need to be upfront about it. She's posted these pics to groups where its obvious she's trying to deceive.

I'm totally with Steph here, why oh why do so very much work badly? Photoshop yourself someplace else for a joke or entertainment purposes and that's great, but it's like the difference between a joke and a lie. Are jokes true stories? Of course not, but it's okay because everybody knows it's a joke. When you lie, and like this, lie BADLY, it's just pathetic, and I'm not entirely sure if I should feel angry or sorry for them.

So vampires don't have a reflection, and fake tranny shots cast no shadow?

I have to agree with Emma.
To me, it just seems such a shame.

A few people have left genuine comments of encouragement, and perhaps even a touch of envy. I just wonder how they'll feel when they realise they've been deceived?

The problems with deceptions on the internet is that someone always spots it. And then I suspect your confidence will be even more shot then it is now, and as Emma pointed out you'll be even more isolated then you where before.

    So kids, don't do it!
