I should be flattered but....

I know I should be flattered when someone is inspired to set up another forum for the TG community based on the Angels.

But inspired by the Angels is one thing, being a complete cut and paste job is another.

Even the forum rules is a word for word duplicate, including smiley! Exhibit A : Exhibit B

They've even got a section called Guardian Angels, which as a pun only really works on the Angels site.

Still, if it's a new London venue to plug the gap left by Transmission then good luck to them. We could do with something.

Not totally sure if we need yet another forum though. Although I'm sure somebody will fill it with posts. Just look at the fuss on Roses over the loss of two years of posts due to a server crash. Some people seem to think that they only exist if they have a high post count....

Erm; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, yada, yada.

Its hard enough keeping pace with whats already out there, let alone splintering further.

    Comic Sans? Saints preserve us!

Bring back the death penalty, but only for the supply & use of that font IMHO.

    Anyway, doesn't "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later." say it all? ;)

    Yay, you're back!

Kinda. I'm trying to get over a continuing bout of apathy... and been concentrating on other, non trannying, projects.

Aww bless their little cotton socks. It's not just a big cut & paste job - they've taken the time to include lot's of grocer's apostrophe's (sic) too. That's not the worst of it though. They used backticks! (`)

Personally I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, Joanna

Sometimes we find more interesting projects. Especially once you know that you can "do it" whatever that means the novelty can wear off a bit. Transmission and The Angels acted as a hot house where many "plants" bloomed. Now that the house doors are more open we find that there are fewer "flowers" to bloom. Which is why new "hot-houses" are doomed to wither and die together with their web sites.
It is as if once you have done the "Me as a female" bit and have mentally survived in-tact as a bloke there really does need to be a reason beyond going somewhere dressed "en femme" including shopping.
What the reason would be I have no idea - I had thought the Clothes Show might be a good place to start.
The trouble wit "dressing" is when you have a "Life" it is difficult to find the time for something that can be a bit pointless!
I suspect that there are fewer would be trannies in hiding because the game finished some time ago as the organisers of Transmission discovered.

Seems they've also half-hinched the Trans-MISSION 'FAQ' page as well as their links. Imitation, flattery, all that, but not found in my copy of 'how to make friends and influence people...'!

Dammit, someone else has always made my point (more effectively than my version) by the time I arrive.

You should be flattered, and it's nice to see you blogging again Jo!

    My dear Joanna,

I have my own diary and would be most grateful for any advice you might be able to offer upon the jottings of an effete and amiable young man.
    You will find it at

    www.wayneausten.blogspot.com.

    I thank you.
    Yours appreciatively,

    Wayne Austen.
