Dressing up again

They say dressing up sessions are like buses. You wait ages for one, and then a bendy one comes along. Or something like that.

Anyway, I've been enjoying a little bit more "me" time with yet another dressing up session. For ages I've wanted a really nice school uniform look, and I managed to find a cheap pinafore dress on ebay the other month. I just haven't had the chance to really try it out yet. So I did.

I also tried out some new Mac eyeshadows that I bought mail order this week. I needed some new foundation and it seemed silly not to use the chance to get some Mac eyeshadow too. I was quite pleased with the look I got with it.

Anyway, here's the photos.

And yes, another chance to try out the maid outfit. I think I'm turning into a fancy dress tranny - fixating on some of the outfits I've never had the chance to wear before. :)

Play Your Trannies Right

One of the reasons I really hate the Tranny Labels debate is that it very quickly descends into a Tranny Hierarchy discussion. That one group of trannies is in some way better or more real than another group.

Now once that happens, there's no end of trouble.......

*cue subtle fade out*

Brucie: Welcome back to Play your Trannies Right....

**inane chatter with contestants**

Brucie: OK, let's play. Here they are they're quite appealing.. OK Dollies do your dealing....

**cards are placed on the board by two rather burly looking dolly dealers**

Brucie: Let's start with your first card......

*card turns over to reveal two pairs of hairy legs and some satin panties*

Brucie: Oooh, Hairy Panty Wearer. Now that's quite a low card... Higher or Lower.

Audience: Higher Higher

Contestant: *mutters* erm Higher Brucie.

Brucie: Higher than a Hairy Panty Wearer you say?

*turns card over - reveals odd looking person in latex mask*

Brucie: and... Scary Mask Wearer! Well done.

*audience cheers*

Brucie: Higher or lower?

Audience: Higher Higher

Contestant: erm... we think... Higher

Brucie: Higher than a scary mask wearer you say?....

*turns card over... reveals normal looking TS girl**

Brucie: and that's a Stealth TS.. now that's quite a high card. Higher or Lower?

Contestant: erm.. Lower Brucie.

Brucie: OK.... Lower than a Stealth TS you say.......

*turns card over... reveals pair of large silicone breast forms**

Audience: Ahhhh....

Brucie: Oh, terribly sorry. You get nothing for a pair

Audience: Not in this game.....

Mr Miss World 2

Carrying on from my last post here, I thought the show was great stuff... I loved the moment when Leah came out to her mum - "dont tell me these are a fella" - "did you take these? are you into photography now?"

Very brave thing to do, and even braver to do it with a film crew.

Loved Leahs outfits too - it was just a shame the organisers of the competition were biased against non-surgically enhanced girls... but then we already knew how rigged things were with the debacle of the online voting.

It's always odd seeing friends on the telly - but I thought Sue, Leah and Kim were great! Well done!

Mr Miss World

Just a quick post to promote a TV show a friend of mine will be appearing in next week. The show follows Leah True as she heads to Thailand with her girlfriend Sue (and Kim Angel) to take part in Miss TG International.

You may remember the arguments that surrounded the online voting for this competition a few months back.

Anyway, Leah and Sue are good friends and I really hope the show is done well. Leah is quite a character, and if any of you have seen her in guy mode she makes an amazing transformation.

I always get twitchy when I get contacted by TV companies looking for trannies for their shows, it rarely ends well, but lets hope that this time the end result is worth it.

It's on Channel 4 on Tuesday 17h April, 10pm. There is some info about the show on Channel 4's website here. Go set your videos/Sky+/PVR of choice.

(edit, updated link, C4 seem to have changed the name to Mr Miss Pageant which is interesting. I wonder if the Miss World organisers have complained??)

Transpocalypse

So this weekend was Transpocalypse 2. A bunch of girls from the local Tranniesphere hit the sleepy city of Liverpool. Becky had fired up here kitten herding equipment again and did a brilliant job of getting a sizeable group together.

I travelled up on the Friday to meet up with Valerie who was flying over that evening. Her flight was delayed by snow in Helsinki and she got into Liverpool a little later than planned. We had a very quick bite to eat, got made up as quick as we could and went off to scout out some of the local Liverpool clubs. We hit Superstar Boudoir briefly and then Navy Bar.

Both clubs had a very ''straight'' feel. We were the only trannies in either place, or so it seemed. (Apart from the girl in drag on the door of the Superstar Boudoir). The local taxi drivers waiting at the doors of the club all welcomed us with ''Evening Gents'' which was nice of them. Feckers.

Funniest thing was when we were in the (sizeable) queue for the ladies when this girl turned round to myself and Val an in loud, broad scouse asked '''Scuse me, but are yous both fellas?'' Then she started to tell other people around her - "hey, there's fellas in the ladies" It was when she remembered she was in a gay bar, and we pointed out we weren't really dressed for the gents (Although that didn't stop Val later on using the urinals for the hell of it!). Also at that point two of the male bar staff came in to fix a leaking sink and they told her not to worry about it.

Made me chuckle anyway.

Tits on the Telly

Got to bed about 3am... then up at the ungodly hour of 7.30 to feed the parking meter outside the hotel. Annoyingly the meter was broken so I had to put a note on my dashboard declaring my intention to pay - and for good measure took a photo of the broken machine and my five pound coins. I then went back to bed for another hour or so. When I went down later it was working again, and I didn't have a parking ticket, which was a result.

Saturday was a little low key. Greasy breakfast.. wander around the shops.. lunchtime kip on the bed and then meeting Becky and Jane for a quick late lunch.

Back to the hotel to get ready and then head out for the main event. A few drinks in the bar, a chinese meal and then hit a few clubs.

Obligatory Radiator Shot

Was really nice to see everyone. Yet again I didn't do the best job of mingling so I apologise to those of you I didn't get the chance to really have a chat to.

The chinese was very nice - although there was a sense that they were moving people to the other rooms and creating a kind of tranny isolation zone in the room we were in.

At the chinese

The clubs we went to had the same problem as the night before - they just seemed incredibly straight and not very gay at all. Again we were pretty much the only trannies in the building.

All in all was a great weekend. Huge thanks to Becky for organising it all, and thanks to everyone who turned up . Photos will be appearing on the Transpocalypse Flickr Group soon.

Where do the trannies go?

I've written before about the phenomena of the Trannienova. Those trannies that burst onto the scene, produce a prolific number of posts on the various forums and lists, attend every tranny event possible then vanish in a puff of taffeta never to be seen again.

Usually they go into a period of purging, often because after all this excitement they tell their wife and it goes badly, or they just implode in a puff of self doubt (or worse, self loathing)

Sometimes it's a case of too much too soon. The tranny is released from the bottle and just explodes.

I remember it was over a year between my debut and my second night out. And another 9 months before I made it out again. Things went very slowly.

But what I was more interested in is what happens to those more stalwart trannies, that just vanish.

In the early days of the Angels there were quite a few girls who were out quite a bit at Stormes with the rest of us. And then they just disappeared. People like Claire Wilson, who was one of the founding members of the Angels right in there at the early days, or BobbyJo Smith.

I hope these girls are OK. They just vanish from the scene and disappear. Emails sent either bounce or don't get answered.

I know girls leave the scene for many reasons. Either they begin to doubt themselves or just decide it's not for them. Sometimes a partner may object and they bury their female side to get an easy life at home. Or sometimes they go full on TS and go stealth and leave the scene behind.

I hope these girls are OK. I hope they do log into sites like the Angels from time to time, even if they don't post anything. It would be nice to know they're doing fine.

I'm not really sure of the point of this post, it's just something I've been musing for a while. The tranny scene can be quite a transient scene, with girls flitting onto the stage and then exiting just as fast. And in a scene where we all go by aliases, with many girls changing their names on a periodic basis, its hard to keep up with it all.

New Boots

So while I sit here and listen to the wind systematically ripping through my fence panels, I can console myself with my new boots. I was so impressed at finding a store called Argoth, which I thought was an inspired choice of name, that I just had to buy a pair of boots from them.

I've always wanted a massive "bugger off" pair of boots... and these are pretty cool. I'm trying to break them in now, hopefully to wear at Transpocalypse.

New Boots

Now to go and reclaim some of my fence panels from my pond.... and it's getting windier!

A few more pics

Two more photos from last night's photo session. Both using the great processing technique described by Siobhan last year. The rest are up on Flickr as usual.

Joanna - detail

Joanna

One thing I would like to do when we move house is sort out a decent area to be able to take photos. I'd like to sort out a blank background and get some decent lighting that I can use. Hopefully that won't be too far away now. Fingers crossed.

I also bought myself a couple of pairs of fab stripy tights from MyTights.com. I can really recommend this site - I ordered them on Friday and they arrived Saturday morning. Very impressive. I bought a black and white pair, black and pink and black and blue pair. They look superb, well I think so anyway :)

A new look for 2007

I think I've found my new favourite wig. I just really like the shape of this one. And the colour is not too bad either. I have tried blonde before, but its been too blonde - it was just a flat colour. This one is more of a light brown, with blonde highlights, and I think it suits me much more.

But maybe I will see if I can get this style in red sometime too.. I am a sucker for red hair, I just love it.

Captioned Images

After a hiatus of over 2 years I have finally produced some more TG Captioned images for my website. I used to really enjoy making these, and I went through a period of producing hundreds of the things.

I know the TG Fiction world is 99% unoriginal, derivative stuff. I have written about this before, back in the early days of my blog. There are certain rules that have to be obeyed, and they are not all everyone's cup of tea.

Basically you either have the male being transformed via prosthetics or more technologically advanced surgeries but its still essentially the same person/body underneath, or the more magical/science fiction bodyswap or total transformation where the male is totally transformed.

Now while the ''male dressed up'' one appeals to my tranny side and tends to be more ''believable'' (using that term very loosely) I do have a thing for the magical and the body swap stories. I think its because that, if I ever got into a situation where I could become a girl I know that my body would make a bad one - I have big feet, big hands etc etc and I would hate to see those features in my female self. A total body transformation or swap would suit me better. I've said before I don't want to be a transsexual woman, I want to be a complete woman or nothing.

So I do get a thrill when reading good tranny fiction, but the majority of it is pretty bad. I do find the odd gem, and there are some good writers out there. The same goes for TG Captions with people like Femur making some excellent stuff.

Anyway, after several years of writing captioned images I basically lost the urge. I had tried to make some very different kinds of image - real world objects rather than plain story snippets, but in the end I ran out of ideas. There are only so many ''When Ben said he wanted to get into her knickers this was not what he meant'' that you can write - unless you find just the right image to go with it.

I did however keep a folder of images, and when I saw a picture on the internet that was just crying out for a caption I saved it, but never got round to producing the finished product.

I built up quite a image bank, and this week I finally sat down and realised it was time to make some more captions. They are always well visited areas of my site and I do still get requests from visitors to produce more.

So today I made 19 of the things. They are up on my Captioned Images section of my site, if you like that kind of thing.

I'm just getting my muse back, so they are not highly original, but I like them (and I like the images that go with them). I must thank the owner of a Hollyoaks screen cap site for some of them, they were just crying out to have a TG caption to go with them. I lilke the fact you can have two people talking to each other so there's a sense of dialog, rather than just having a model with a caption to go with her.

I have loads more that I could do, and if I get some time maybe I'll make some more.
