Apparently its something called a Roomba, and it lives in its own little docking station, and just wanders around cleaning your floor, returing to its docking station when it needs charging. Sounds fantastic.
I had heard of these kind of things before (I think I remember hearing about a solar powered lawnmower robot once) but I didn't know they were now available in the UK, and were not totally extortionately priced. I may look into one when we move, sounds like a great product!
Even better are the mods and hacks available for them. Including this one, that makes it look like a Cylon vacuum cleaner... Great stuff.
Oh and Battlestar Galactica resumes in the US this weekend. I've been watching it on Sky again, and its great to see it on a bigger screen ;) Still the best Scifi on telly at present.
In other news, I'm just getting myself back into the swing of things after xmas. This week was the annual trip up to London for the BETT Education show. A chance to look at all the new and shiny kit trying to make its way into the classroom.
Still haven't moved house yet. Still waiting on searches and whatnot. Hoping we're nearly there, but it seems to be taking forever.
My old iPod finally died, so I've bought myself a nice new one. My old one was still black and white, and I've been having fun downloading video podcasts and stuff for the new one. Things like GeekBrief.tv, which looks quite fun. This also meant I spent a very productive day on Saturday going through my iTunes library and getting the correct album cover art and tidying up all the album and title details.
